Sister Loretta Rosendale, SSND
Executive Director


Sister Loretta has degrees in Education and Human Development.  She has experience as a teacher of children and adults, has served as a community organizer, and has been a director of a housing program for homeless women and children.  Sister recently relocated from Baltimore, MD, where she served on the Archdiocesan Immigration Reform Committee.
 
Candice Ibaceta
Volunteer-Intern Coordinator

Candice grew up in a family environment where community involvement was essential in order to make a positive impact on society.  She has been actively involved in the Latino community providing research and outreach services, assisting individuals in the citizenship process, and volunteering her time teaching and tutoring ESL students.  She is a firm believer in the quote, "education is key to success," and she therefore contributes her efforts to empower the community.  Candice graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in Political Science and Latin American-Latino Studies. 

Sister Lupita Cordero, SSND
ESL Coordinator

Sister Lupita has advanced degrees in education, languages, theology, and Hispanic ministry.  As a member of many community organizations, she collaborates with other leaders to further the advancement of Hispanic women and children.  Sister is a ProLiteracy America Certified Tutor & Tutor Trainer and has received her instructor certification from Literacy Chicago.

Tracy Hughes
After-School Coordinator

Rev. Tracy Hughes has served the United Church of Christ as an ordained minister since 1998.  She brings years of educational and ministry experience with children, youth and families to Corazón a Corazón.  Hughes' diverse experience includes serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Belize, teaching English and physical education in an elementary school in East Jerusalem during seminary, being a parish minister in congregations in Ohio, and volunteering as a missionary on Christian peace and justice teams in Mexico, Colombia, Palestine, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Hughes' call to Christian ministry is rooted in peacemaking and radical Christian discipleship. Currently, she is a doctoral student at Catholic Theological Union focusing on multicultural ministries.
